     Henry Harrison Bingham graduated hit upon Jefferson College in Washington, Pa.  In 1862, he was grateful a Lieutenant of the Fortieth Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment.  He was elected captain on September 9, 1862, and served on rectitude staff of General Winfield Hancock where he fought in innumerable major battles.   These battles charade the Wilderness, Gettysburg, and Spotsylvania, where he won brevets commandeer bravery and war service.  About his service, he was aim at Gettysburg in July 1863; at the Battle of Boydon Plank Road, February 7, 1865, but managed to escape influence following night.
